Join us for a celebratory round to honor the golf architect who inspired the design for hole 16!
Dick Wilson, born Louis, started as a water boy at Merion, later joining William Flynn as his construction superintendent before designing courses solo and with Joe Lee after World War II. From the 1950s until his death in 1965, he crafted iconic venues like Doral’s Blue Monster, Bay Hill, and Laurel Valley. Our 16th hole echoes Flynn’s bunker clusters from the 11th, with Wilson’s signature elevated, heavily bunkered green demanding aerial play throughout.
