Join us for a celebratory round to honor the golf architect who inspired the design for holes 9 and 15!
Donald Ross, a Scotsman mentored by Old Tom Morris, moved to America in 1898, rising from Oakley Country Club to national fame at Pinehurst, North Carolina. From 1912 until his death in 1948, he dominated golf architecture, designing more acclaimed courses—like Pinehurst No. 2, Oakland Hills, and Seminole—than any peer, with his work hosting the most major championships. A founder of the ASGCA, his legacy endures through the Donald Ross Society. Our 9th and 15th holes embody his deceptive style: the 9th’s flanking bunkers and pond trick the eye, its trenched green bold yet subtle, while the 15th’s uphill drive and distant bunkers test long-iron precision on a ridged green.
