Oklahoma banker Perry Maxwell, who took up golf at age 30, became a renowned golf course architect, designing 70 courses and remodeling 50 others over a 30 year career. He collaborated with Alister Mackenzie on projects like Crystal Downs and the University of Michigan, and later handled revisions at Augusta National. Our 14th hole embodies Maxwell's design preferences, featuring long par-4s, "clamshell" bunkering, and wildly contoured greens known as "Maxwell Rolls."
