Seth Raynor, a civil engineer, collaborated with C.B. Macdonald on designing the National Golf Links of America and went on to build all of Macdonald's remaining courses. Raynor's architectural style, characterized by superimposing versions of famous British golf holes onto various landscapes, is evident in his designs like Fishers Island and Fox Chapel. Our par-3 8th hole showcases Raynor's geometric architecture, with a stair-stepped green and strategically placed bunkers guiding golfers away from steep drop-offs.
