Architects Golf Club Proudly Announces Completion of Bunker Renovations on Hole 18

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOPATCONG, NJ — Turco Golf and the Turco family, the esteemed builder, owner, and operator of The Architects Golf Club, proudly announces the completion of extensive renovations to the renowned 18th hole of the course. This milestone project enhances one of the most distinguished holes in the area, originally crafted in the iconic style of legendary golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones.

Hole 18: Designed in the Style of Robert Trent Jones

The 18th hole, celebrated for its 80-yard-long runway tee and intricate fairway design, has undergone a transformative renovation, particularly focusing on its defining feature - the bunkers. All eight bunkers on this hole have been meticulously updated using a Capillary Concrete liner, elevating both the aesthetic appeal and the strategic challenge of the hole, as well as affirming long-lasting durability and low maintenance costs for many years to come. The renovation pays homage to Jones’ legacy, known for his 60-year career designing courses with a recognizable and challenging style.

Embodying the essence of Robert Trent Jones’ design philosophy, the 18th hole at The Architects Golf Club features a fairway narrowed to a mere 25 yards by the strategic placement of Trent Jones bunkers on either side. This renovation project has revitalized these bunkers, ensuring they continue to challenge and intrigue golfers of all skill levels. The splendor of sand traps guarding three sides of the course's largest green has been enhanced, maintaining the hole's reputation as a test of precision and strategy.

Golfers will find that being on in two shots offers no guarantee of success on this hole. With several slopes and the newly renovated bunkers, the 18th hole remains a delightful challenge - a hard par but an easy bogey. The enhancements are not only a tribute to the hole's original design but also a commitment to providing golfers with an unparalleled experience.

The renovation of the 18th hole at The Architects Golf Club is part of Turco Golf's continuous effort to uphold the highest standards in golf course design and maintenance. We are excited to invite members and guests to experience the renewed challenge and beauty of this signature hole.
