Architects Welcomes Sean Callanan as New Head Teaching & Player Development Professional
/LOPATCONG, NEW JERSEY – The Architects Golf Club is proud to welcome Sean Callanan to our team of golf professionals for the 2017 season. Sean joins our staff as the new Head Teaching & Player Development Professional after spending 10 years in the MET section of the PGA as Head Golf Professional and, most recently, as a teaching professional at Alpine Country Club in Demarest, New Jersey. Sean's experience also includes time spent at the David Ledbetter Academy at Fisher Island Club. He's also studied "The Natural Golf Way" while under the tutelage of golf expert Moe Norman in North Carolina and has worked with several mentors of "The Golfing Machine" by Homer Kelley.
Sean has vast experience in the golf industry, most specifically with teaching and instruction. He has taught players of all skill levels, helping all of his pupils to improve and enjoy playing the game. One area of instruction expertise that stands out for Sean is his commitment to growing the game by way of junior golf.
Many of Sean's junior golf students have advanced to play golf at the collegiate level. His instruction and mentoring of one of New Jersey's local high school teams created an outstanding program and a top team among their county's competition. Prior to his experience as a coach, Sean spent time as the Lead Assistant, and an integral part of the staff at Mountain Ridge Country Club, as well as Montammy Golf Club in New Jersey.
Sean's teaching philosophy focuses on a player-oriented approach. Tailoring his instruction to the individual's needs, Sean believes in getting his students out on the course and enjoying all of the amenities that a club has to offer its golfers. From developing a "player's program," to running teaching clinics and one-day golf schools for members and their guests, to individual instruction or lessons, Sean's teaching experience and programs will enhance your game as well as your experience at The Architects Golf Club.
A Member "Meet & Greet" with Sean Callanan is scheduled for Friday, April 7, 2017. Click here for event info, details and registration!
